Broke makes TV premiere this Xmas

Local Film-maker Heath Davis has just had his stocking stuffed early with the announcement of his TV premiere.

Channel Ten are playing Broke on Christmas Eve at 9pm on ONE HD.

Heath says "Yes - you can now watch it free on the Tele!!! What better way to wait up for Santa folks?"

Broke wasn't filmed locally but Heath has grown up in the Blue Mountains and Penrith area, and the film deals with some of the bigger issues faced in the Western suburbs including gambling, drinking and the way NRL players are perceived.

Heath is currently fundraising and in pre-production for his next full length feature film Book Week which will be filmed in Katoomba and Lithgow. Going against the grain in the Aussie film industry, he's been out raising funds through the local community with Band Comps at the Aussie Arms in Penrith, a trivia night in Glenbrook, and local screenings of his debut Broke film.
